Catalin Munteanu

Catalin Munteanu is constantly practicing painting, photography and photo/video editing since 2012, as a self-taught visual artist, and contemporary dancer since 2016. He studies the contribution of both movement and visual arts in the process of psychotherapy, through their somatic and creative aspects.

Catalin studied psychology at the Ecological University of Bucharest, currently works as an assistant in infant hypotheraphy and facilitating drawing and painting workshops for children.
For three years he has been studying movement techniques: Capoeira, in the cultural- educational organisation Cercul Intreg (Cluj) with Lua Santana, Itapua Beiramar, Bogdan Rakolcza, and Contact Improvisation in the Bucharest Contact Festival with Virginia Negru, Scott Wells, Benno Voorham, Malcolm Manning and Mirva Makinen,Steve Batts.
When he is not working with children or dancing he is involved in photo/video editing work for performances and events in the contemporary dance and performative arts area.
