The digital exhibition Feed my Emotions, commissioned by Liberty EU partner Explora in Rome, is an interactive game that invites you to reflect on the relationship between humans and artificial intelligence, by examining a particular aspect of human beings: the emotions. The software on which the interaction system is made is based on a facial recognition algorithm. All the players, approaching the interactive totem, must maintain, for the duration of the game, the expression of the emotion suggested by the software, through the features of the entire face – mouth, nose, eyebrows and eyes.

The software detects the signs that it transforms into colored geometric figures, concluding the experience with questions related to the emotion felt. The capability to recognise emotion is a fundamental social and human tool essential for self-awareness and the development of empathy feeling towards others, with the ultimate aim of strengthening the connection among people and communities.

This interactive game was created by the Children’s Museum of Rome, Explora and was launched at the museum over an inaugural weekend before appearing at The Vision Festival, Videocittà, also in Rome.

Feed my Emotions was created by Michal Zemel and the collective “Ultravioletto” composed by Bruno Capezzuoli and Tito Cetroni.
