Kaleidoscope 2022 – Contemporary Dance Festival Pionirski Dom
The view through the optical device that is the kaleidoscope invites you on a journey of multiple sensory perceptions.
The festival is meant to be enjoyed by people of all age groups who allow themselves to experience the joy of contemporary dance. This year’s Kaleidoscopic inspection is part of the Liberty EU programme, which is supported by the Creative Europe Programme.
The festival will take place from 22 to 24 June at various venues around Ljubljana, namely, the Ljubljana railway station, the Festival Hall, as well as the big stage, and the small stage of Mladinsko Theatre.
The workshop-style educational programme will be made possible with the help of foreign performers (Aleksandra Arizanović (SRB), Ona Elzbieta Visnevskyte (LIT), Kristýna Šajtošová (ČEŠ).
Among other things, we will host an extraordinary artist from Brussels, Mufutau Yusuf. Festival-goers will witness a flash mob at the Ljubljana railway station, as well as marvel at the acrobatic show Evolution. What is more, Ana Romih, an exceptional dancer and performer, will give the premiere performance of the show The Moment. In collaboration with musicians, Beno Novak will give a concert for one dancer and one musician with the title To Resurrect. Even GIBOGIB, a production of Pionirski dom – Centre for Youth Culture which is composed
of aspiring dancers from 4 to 40 years of age, will add to the Kaleidoscopic atmosphere.
Tiny, glass fragments of kaleidoscopic art will certainly not leave us indifferent …
Allow yourself to be Kaleidscopic …
