Colony – escape stories / ONLINE VERSION 2022

After presenting the live performance of ‘Colony’ last summer, Hungarian LIBERTY EU partner Trafó House of Contemporary Arts now showcases the film ‘Colony – escape stories’ online from 8th May to 15th May.

 

It will be available to watch in Hungarian with subtitles in English.

The film invites you to STEREO AKT’s theatre walk in the former tobacco factory building on Kőbányai road, where the site’s little-known past is revealed with a team of actors, singers and migrant participants.

For the performance of ‘Colony’ last year, STEREO AKT has been joined by Irini and Perisztera, whose family, fleeing the civil war, found refuge in the closed world of the Greek colony on Kőbánya Road. Also joined by Abouzar and his son Armin, the last witnesses to the world of the transit zones on the southern border in Hungary. Stories of refugees in radically different historical and political contexts are told, only the host country is the same in both cases: Hungary in the late 1940s and today.

The performance was created within the framework of the international LIBERTY EU partnership with support of the Creative Europe Programme of the European Union.

In order to be able to buy tickets, you’ll need to register on the ticket-selling website:

Click on „Bejelentkezés” (Log in), then in the upcoming tab click „Regisztráció” (Registration).

Fill in the form:  Keresztnév (First Name), Vezetéknév (Last Name), Email cím (Email address), Jelszó (Password). Then click „Regisztráció” (Registration). You will receive a confirmation email directly to your mailbox (please check your spam/junk folder). In the received email, click „Megerősítés” (Confirm).

The link will navigate you back to www.jegy.hu’s login page. Enter your email address and password, then click „Bejelentkezés” (Log in).
