Sara Apostolović

The focus of Sara’s research is the national character of Serbian society, the position of that society in the world and the position of the individual. She uses various media such as photography, video, archive, performance and drawings in order to deconstruct – and then constructs and revives the tradition, history, mythology of her country. Furthermore, she explores her own identity in her family, society and world.

Sara is a PhD student at the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad. She has participated in many group exhibitions as well as solo exhibitions, including “Igrale se delije” (photography exhibition where she constructed the perfect Serbian husband), “100 points” (exhibition of drawings and paintings), “He to defend” (exhibition of photography and installation).
