Sanja Marić

Sanja Maric is a serbian flute player from Belgrade. She is primarily involved in classical music, but also is in touch with other musical genres. She is a Master Music performer and a flute teacher. Sanja is a very active performer with a lot of experience and many concerts behind her.

Sanja began playing flute when she was ten years old. She finished elementary and secondary music school and she graduated in Faculty of Music arts in Belgrade. Recently she finished Master studies of Music Performance in the same faculty. She is looking forward to continue to advance her studies next year and get Phd diploma some day.

During her studies, she won numerous First and Second prizes on Republic and International competitions in the country. She attended master classes in Gyor (Hungary), Mainz (Germany) and Belgrade with eminent flutists such as Emmanuel Pahud, Peter-Lucas Graf, Vincent Lucas, Yubeen Kim, Andras Adorjan, Carlos Bruneel, Gergely Itzzes, Dejan Gavric etc.

She mastered a big part of flute repertoire and had a few recitals. Also she played recitals as member of chamber ensembles. Sanja performed in huge number of concert halls in Serbia as soloist or as a member of orchestras and chamber ensembles.

She performed on the 51st festival “Days of Mokranjac” in Negotin, Serbia and she is a part of a project “Chamber music of composers – academics, journey through Serbia” which is realized in autumn 2020 in nine towns in the country.

She is also in love with Serbian folklore (and the folklore of other nations) and she plays in an orchestra of one of the Serbian folk ensembles.

Currently, Sanja works as a flute teacher in elementary music school and prepares herself for upcoming concerts of Contemporary Serbian music.
