Krzysztof is a double bass player born in Suwałki, Poland. He studied classical double bass on Gdansk Academy of Music. He composes and experiments in the wide field of improvised music, trying to incorporate different genres and find his own musical language. Julian Cochran’s Foundation scholarship holder.

Currently Krzysztof is a student of jazz double bass on Frederic Chopin University of Music in Warsaw. He is going to start studying MA in jazz double bass in Aalborg from September 2021. Krzysztof loves improvised music and combining many different genres while still trying to find and maintain his own, independent sound and musical language.
Krzysztof previously studied Classical Double Bass at Gdańsk Academy of Music. He has been touring with many different groups – from symphony orchestras, cameral ensembles to jazz combos and big bands.
He composes and experiments in the wide field of improvised music, trying to incorporate different genres. He’s at the same time trying to constantly search for his own musical language. Nowadays he’s working on his thesis “The role of double bass in contemporary creative music”. Individuality, creativity, rhythm and sound are a crucial factor for anything he works on. He took part in many workshops and masterclasses with world’s top musicians like Matts Eilertsen, Rafał Sarnecki, Essiet Okon Essiet, Dominik Wania, Eirik Hegdal, Jim Black, Samuel Blaser and many more. He gave concerts in his home country, Europe and USA.
