Julija is a dancer, performer and choreographer. She is interested in creative movement, presence and responsiveness of the body and translation/transformations of movement expressions.

Julija Pečnikar got her first movement experiences through practicing martial art – Judo. She studied at the Arts Gymansium – department for contemporary dance in Ljubljana. After that she graduated from Budapest Contemporary Dance Academy in Budapest. Alongside her studies she colaborated with several choreographers such as: Vita Osojnik, Molnár Csaba, Marco Torrice, Adrienn Hód, Tamás Bakó, Viktror Szeri, Tijen Lawton, Jan Rozman, Blanca Arrieta.
