Gašper Kunšič

Gašper Kunšič (1992) is a visual artist who works in the fields of painting, installations and digital graphic art. He graduated in painting from the Academy of Fine Arts and Design (ALUO) in Ljubljana, and he is currently continuing his studies with a course in Transmedia Art at the University for Applied Arts in Vienna.

He was nominated for the ESSL ART AWARD CEE in 2015 and exhibited his works at the Museum of Contemporary Art Metelkova in Ljubljana, as well as at the third Triennial of Young Artists at the Gallery of Contemporary Art in Celje. His performances have been showcased by the Vienna Künstlerhaus.
He has participated in group exhibitions at the Jakopič Pavilion and the P74 Gallery in Ljubljana, the Athens Digital Art Festival in Greece, The Essence 2016, in Alte Post and in the Krinzinger Projekte in Vienna. Together with Živa Drvarič, he put on an exhibition titled LIFE GOES ON LIFE GOES OFF at UGM Studio.
In March 2017, his solo exhibition was featured within the Artist per Month exhibition series at the DobraVaga gallery. He is the recipient of the thesis award from ALUO (2016) and the winner of the first Mladika magazine Poetry Award in Trieste (2013). He is also a recipient of the Ministry of Culture scholarship for studying abroad. He lives and works in Vienna.
