Anja Simić

Anja Simić is a twenty-one-year-old cinematographer from Belgrade, Serbia. She is studying at the Faculty of Dramatic Arts, Department of Cinematography and has been photographing and filming for four years now. Her interests are currently based on documentary photography and authors film.

Anja started taking photos, after her first student theatre play. Playing with light, which is used on the theatre stage, further inspired her to start exploring the atmospheres in photography. Learning more and more about light, Anja became more interested in art photography and short films.
After graduating from high school, she decided to enrol at the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Belgrade, Department of Cinematography. Anja has been a part of many student projects as a director of photography and First Camera Assistant. As director of photography, she has signed two author films. Her main interest now is documentary photography and authors film.
